Yaupon Beach Vacation Packages

The property was incredibly dirty. There was trash everywhere - throughout the hallways, by the pool, etc. Guest Services/Check In is across the street in a brand new, different building, which was a little frustrating. If management isn’t willing to have guest services be inside their hotel, that says a lot about the state of the property. We found 2 cockroaches in our room, and I wondered if the room was even finished. The bathroom was missing large chunks of molding, there were gaps in the bathroom ceiling tiles, etc. What IS nice about the property is the amount of activities onsite - the restaurant, huge pool area, arcade, snack counter, waterpark/splash area for the kids, and right on the beach. The location is also great. If you are a family of a budget and don’t mind a property that isn’t the cleanest, this is a great place for you.

Everything was great! We had a great time! The staff is great at this location! They are very professional and polite.

This was by far one of the best stays we had at the beach. The room and property looked almost new and so so clean. The pool area was amazing, fenced in and you could always see a member of the staff come in and ask if anything was needed. They always had a nice big coffee/espresso/keurig machine that I looked forward to every morning. Best part was also the beach walk was very close and only a couple of steps into the beach/sand area. These were all pluses as we had two kiddos so the us. Thank you!!!

Room was clean and relatively quiet.

We have stayed at Ocean Reef many times in the past, but this was our first stay in over ten years. Things we like: location at quieter northern end of Myrtle Beach and ON THE BEACH, opportunity to stay in a junior suite rather than just a bedroom for a reasonable price. Although we had read some renovations had been done, our suite this time was disappointingly "tired"- knobs missing from furniture and closet, light not working, refrigerator freezing up, tub faucet separated from wall. Housekeeping came by with new towels but no other housekeeping was done: no sheet change, no vacuuming for a week. None of these things had a ruining impact on our stay but were unexpected and will give us pause when considering a return in the future.
